BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

THURSDAY, JUNE 8, 2023
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0408E
SUNSET:  1919E

MAINLY CLOUDY SKIES IS THE THEME TODAY WITH CONTINUED BELOW NORMAL
TEMPERATURES….

Clouds have dominated the sky today with only a few breaks late
this morning and early this afternoon, allowing for a touch of sun.
However, any sun is self destructive thanks to a cool pool of air
aloft in association with an upper level low stuck over the region.
Some showers were around this morning, although none made it here
to the hill. More showers are expected to pop up this afternoon,
so perhaps we can get one to pass over the hill.

Temperatures have remained below average today, with the high so
far close to 10F degrees below the expected value for this date.
The dew point has remained steady in the upper 40s to near 50,
so at least it feels comfortable out there.

The wind has been rather light today, and at times variable. The
average speed for the day so far is only around 5mph. The peak
gust so far has been pitiful at around 13mph!

The high temperature so far today is 64F, this is 9 degrees
below the normal maximum of 73F. The low since midnight is 51F,
this is 4 degrees below the normal minimum of 55F.
