DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
THURSDAY, JUNE 8, 2017
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
HIGH PRESSURE BRINGS WARMER TEMPS,
HIGH CLOUDS MOVE IN AHEAD OF LOW PRESSURE
High pressure over the region has given us a dry and warm
day. Temperatures had reached 76F by 1:00PM EST from a
minimum earlier this morning of 52F. Winds have again
been quite light and switched out of the south by afternoon.
Despite the mild conditions, light haze limited visibility
to 60 miles in the late morning and afternoon.
Skies were clear at the 7:00AM observation, but cirrostratus
clouds preceding the coastal low moved in and caused skies
to be nearly overcast in the late morning. Skies cleared
slightly in the afternoon with scattered cirrus and few
altocumulus.
