OVERCAST SKIES WITH SCATTERED LIGHT SHOWERS INTO EARLY AFTERNOON….

An abundance of cloud cover has been the theme today with
occasional light rain showers moving through the area this
morning and into early this afternoon before tapering off.
Some dim sun is trying to filter through the clouds as we
push through the mid afternoon hours.

The temperature has been gradually rising through the day,
starting in the mid 60s this morning and reaching the low 70s
by early this afternoon. It is quite muggy out there today
with the dew point in the mid to upper 60s.

The wind has been fairly steady, but generally on the lighter
side so far today out of a south to south-southeast direction.
The average speed for the day so far is around 9mph. The peak
gust to this point is 20mph, which occurred just before 10:30am
this morning.

Visibility has of course been limited most of the day due to
rain showers and fog. Early this morning we were in the clouds,
so the visibility was a 1/4 mile or less for a time. The
ceiling lifted by mid morning and the view increased to around
25-30 miles with lower values at times due to rain showers.

The maximum temperature so far today is 73F degrees, which is
1 degree above the normal high of 72F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 65F degrees, which is 10 degrees above the
normal low of 55F.
