A GORGEOUS MIDSUMMER’S DAY ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL….

under partly cloudy skies. Wind was cool and northwesterly,
being 15 mph on average with a max gust of 26 mph around noon.

Conditions have dried out since this morning as dew points
duck into the upper 40’s. Absolutely a great day for a hike!

is -1.69 inches. The annual total is -6.71 inches from normal.
The updated drought monitor is showing most of the state in
the “Moderate Drought” category. Trees and flowers on the
summit are showing definite distress.

The high so far today is 79F, which is a degree below the
normal maximum of 80F. The low since midnight is 61F, which
is a degree below the normal minimum of 62F.
