MORE CLOUDS THAN SUN, BUT LESS RAIN, STILL ON THE HUMID SIDE…

The day started off with a brief shower between 4-5am which
amounted to an additional 0.02″ in the gauge, after showers and
thunderstorms last evening brought 0.09″ to the Hill. After
the shower this morning, low clouds and fog shrouded the summit
until just about the 7am observation when it started lifting.

Since then, more clouds than sun has been the theme, but
temperatures have warmed easily into the upper 70s and low 80s
nonetheless. The dew point has been gradually slipping from the
upper 60s this morning to mid 60s this afternoon. However, it
still feels sticky out there, especially with a lack of wind.

The wind has been light all day with each observation today only
having wind speeds of 4kts! The average speed so far for the
day is around 6mph. The peak gust so far is only around 16mph.

Visibility has been limited all day, generally running 10-25
miles.

The maximum temperature so far today is 81F, this is 1 degree
above the normal high of 80F. The minimum since midnight is 65F,
which is 3 degrees above the normal low of 62F.
