MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES, COOL, AND DRY….

A few showers yesterday and overnight added a measly
0.07″ to the gauge, so the annual deficit climbs
to 5.10″. The weekly drought monitor was updated this
morning (as it is every Thursday AM) and maintains
eastern MA in a moderate drought status.

In the meantime, today is featuring dry conditions with
an abundance of low level clouds, temps in the low 60s,
and light winds from the NW-NE. The mercury did spike to 67F
thanks to some temporary clearing around 10:30a. Visibility
is averaging 20 miles. All in all, not a bad day for any
strenuous outdoor activities and time in the garden.

The high so far today is 67F, which is 4 degrees below the
normal maximum of 71F. The low since midnight is 53F, which
equals the normal minimum for today.
