DRY WEATHER WITH INCREASING CLOUDS TODAY AND WINDS REMAINING GUSTY
Dry and comfortable weather has returned today after the more humid air of
yesterday. After a mild start to the morning, with a low of 64F, we have
risen to a high of 77F so far. Most of this rise came in the morning, and
in fact we have dropped a few degrees this afternoon. This is due to an
increase in stratocumulus clouds, which had mostly blocked out the Sun shortly
after noontime. Yesterday provided the first rain at Blue Hill since June 5,
but it was only a trace, as this lengthy dry spell continues. Winds have been
gusty for the third day in a row, with gusts close to 35mph today and sustained
winds again around 15mph. The barometric pressure has been steady but low
today, with a low pressure system to our north slow to depart and contributing
to the increase in clouds this afternoon.
