DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
THURSDAY, JULY 27, 2017
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

MOSTLY CLOUDY AND OVERCAST SKIES KEEP TEMPS COOL

The day started with broken altocumulus and overcast
altostratus clouds.  A light rain shower passed between
7:50AM and 8:00AM EST. Skies cleared very slightly before
they became overcast again in the afternoon and brought
light rain.  Precip. measured 0.02 in. at 1:00PM.  Along
with the light rain, distant fog moved in to bring visi-
bility down to 30-40 miles.

Temperatures reached a max. of 72F around 11:00AM and had
fallen to 69F by 1:00PM.  The average temp. for the day so
far is 66F which is 6F below normal.  Humidity was also on
the rise with the arrival of rain and fog.  Dew points were
in the mid-60s in the early afternoon, and humidity jumped
from 68% to 82% from the 10:00AM and 1:00PM observations.
The day felt slightly cooler and not so humid due to gusty
southwest winds.
