CLOUDS CONTINUE TO DOMINATE, BUT WARMER AND MORE HUMID TODAY….

Today has once again featured plenty of cloud cover after early
morning dense fog burned off. The sun is trying to shine through
the clouds, and is dimly visible early this afternoon. So far
there has been no rainfall, but a line of showers and
thunderstorms are developing off the west. We’ll see if any of
that activity reaches Blue Hill later this afternoon.

Despite the cloud cover, temperatures are warmer than they have
been the past couple of days. Readings have reached the upper
70s by early this afternoon. The dew point is also rising with
values reaching the low 70s, as such it feels quite muggy out
there, especially compared to the last couple of days.

The wind is a little stronger than it’s been the past few days.
The average speed so far for the day is around 7mph, but it has
been averaging closer to 10mph for the past couple of hours. The
peak gust for the day so far is 20mph, which occurred during
the 1pm observation.

Visibility has improved since early this morning, when it was
under 1/4 miles. By early this afternoon its up to around 30
miles with general haziness taking over following the fog.

The maximum temperature so far today is 79F, which is 3
degrees below the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 65F, which is 1 degree above the normal low
of 64F.
