DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
THURSDAY, JULY 17, 2014
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

HEAVY RAIN INCLUDING THUNDERSTORMS BROUGHT AN INCH OF
RAINFALL YESTERDAY…
TEMPERATURES HELD DOWN TO A HIGH OF 73F IN HEAVILY OVERCAST
AND FOGGY CONDITIONS…
CIRRUS CLOUDS SLOW TO MOVE EASTWARD IN THE WAKE OF COLD FRONTAL
PASSAGE EARLY TODAY

A final total of 0.97 inch was the rainfall total recorded
for yesterday which brought the three day total to 1.55 ins.
Much drier air is in place today with dew points falling
into the 50’s after being in the 70’s for at least a couple
of days. Temperatures were also in the low 70’s yesterday
making for very high relative humidity all day and the
result was oppressive conditions.

High cirrus cloudiness is showing a very slow tendency to
clear away, but early this afternoon the advancing edge of
clear sky was still just to our west.
