HAZY, HOT, AND HUMID WITH INCREASING CLOUD COVER AT BLUE HILL….

Sunshine was the theme this morning under only some high thin
cirrus clouds. However as the afternoon progressed, cumulus
have developed in the unstable air mass. Also the cirrus has
transformed to a thicker and lower cirrostratus layer that is
now enough to dim the sun.

Despite the increasing cloud cover, temperatures have still
reached the upper 80s to near 90. With the dew point hanging
out in the mid to upper 60s, it is once again on the sticky
side out there.

The wind, which started the day off on the light side, has
increased a bit early this afternoon as the pressure gradient
tightens a little. The average speed so far for the day is
around 8mph, but has perked up to around 14mph in the last
hour or so. The peak gust so far is around 29mph, occurring
just after 12pm.

Visibility has been limited today due to haziness, generally
holding between 15-20 miles.

The maximum temperature so far today is 88F, this is 6 degrees
above the normal high of 82F. The minimum since midnight is 70F,
which is 6 degrees above the normal low of 64F.
