LIKE A BROKEN RECORD, WINDY AND COLD ONCE AGAIN WITH SCATTERED LIGHT
SNOW SHOWERS TODAY….

It’s almost like Groundhog Day around here with the overall same
conditions everyday for the past few days. The one difference today
is the abundance of cloud cover although some filtered sunshine is
being observed at times. Scattered light snow showers have been
pushing southward across the region today as well. So far the snow
hasn’t amounted to any more than a dusting, so the snowfall for the
month and season remain below seasonal norms.

Temperatures continue to be on the cold side with values rising from
the mid teens early this morning to the mid 20s by early this
afternoon. Dew point values also continue to be on the low side
with values generally in the upper single digits to low teens.

Winds are quite gusty again today keeping wind chill values in the
single digits to low teens. The average speed for the day so far is
around 20mph. Frequent gusts over 35mph have been observed today,
with a peak gust so far of 46mph occurring at 12:51pm.

Visibility has been variable due to the off and on snow showers.
In general the view is upwards to 60 miles, but of course lower where
it’s obscured by virga/snow.

The maximum temperature for today is 24F degrees, which is 11 degrees
below the normal high of 35F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 13F degrees, which is 6 degrees below the normal low of 19F.
