COLDER WITH MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL….

We observed improved visibility in comparison to yesterday,
about 35 miles on average. Wind was westerly and on the
increase, reaching a gust of almost 40 mph by the 1 P.M.
observation. Skies are mostly cloudy with mostly low and
upper level stratocumulus and cirrostratus.

Houghton’s Pond has not yet frozen over this season and the
first freeze will be one of the latest on record:
