A VERY COLD AND DRY DAY WITH CLEAR SKIES
ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL….
Snow squalls between 7 and 8 P.M. last night
left a half inch on the ground, along with
0.05 inches of liquid in the gauge. Visibility
remained at 70 miles all day, and skies were
clear; save a few distant cumulus offshore.
Wind was westerly and light compared to
yesterday, where a max gust of 52 mph was
reached. Weather was fair and dry, with a
humidity of 35% being observed at 1 P.M.
The frontal passage last night not only
brought significant snow squalls, but
very low temperatures. The high temperature
so far today is 12F, 22 degrees below the daily
normal of 34F. The low since midnight is -2F,
which is 19 degrees below the daily normal
minimum of 17F.
