MORE CLOUDS THAN SUN TODAY, BUT A BIT WARMER THAN YESTERDAY….
Clouds quickly moved in after a very nice sunrise early this
morning, leaving us with a sky that has featured more clouds
than sun through the day.
Temperatures are a bit warmer than yesterday, but still below
normal for the date. Readings have reached the low 70s early
this afternoon, which is still nearly 10 degrees below the
expected high for today. The dew point remains in the
comfortable range today with values in the upper 50s to low
60s. Just can’t beat this kind of air in August!
Winds have been fairly steady once again today, mainly out of
an easterly direction. The average speed for the day so far is
around 7mph. The peak gust so far is 20mph which occurred just
after noon-time.
Visibility has been decent today with views of 50-60 miles the
theme most of the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 72F, which is 9 degrees
below the normal high of 81F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 58F, which is 6 degrees below the normal low of 64F.
