SPLENDID WEATHER RETURNS WITH MAINLY SUNNY, COOLER, AND LESS HUMID
CONDITIONS TODAY….
What a nice day today with pleasant temperatures and humidity
levels under mainly sunny skies. A cold front pushed through
last evening with a wind shift to the northeast and a lower
dew point air mass being ushered into the region behind it.
There was no rain associated with the front, so our dry stretch
of weather continues.
Temperatures have reached the low 70s early this afternoon with
the dew point in the mid 50s. This is much nicer than the dew
points in the lower 70s yesterday.
The wind was fairly active overnight into this morning, but the
trend has been for diminishing speeds as we move through the early
afternoon hours. The average speed for the day so far is around
10mph, mainly out of the northeast and east-northeast. The peak
gust so far is 23mph, which occurred just before 9am this morning.
Visibility is much better today than it has been the previous few
days. The view today has been holding around 60 miles.
The maximum temperature so far today is 71F, which is 7 degrees
below the normal high of 78F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 60F, which is 1 degree below the normal low of 61F.
