LOWEST TEMPERATURE (53F) SINCE 53f JUNE 20 WAS
RECORDED HERE AT THE SUMMIT AS COOL AUGUST CONTINUES
LOW READINGS IN THE 40’S IN LOCAL AREA THIS MORNING
Some chilly minimum temperatures early this morning
included: Boston, 60F; Blue Hill, 53F; Norwood Airport, 47F;
Taunton Airport, 48F; Martha’s Vineyard Airport, 48F,
and Worcester Airport, 52F.
After averaging a much below normal 65 degrees here on
the summit yesterday, 6 degrees below normal, August
is currently running 2.4 degrees cooler than average.
Through August 11 this has been a sunny month with
66% of the possible sunshine.
Interestingly, Monday of this week continues to be the
only day since July 29 that the average daily temperature
actually finished above the 30-year normal
for any given date.
