ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES WITH HIGHER DEW POINTS TODAY….

Skies have been partly cloudy for much of the day, with increasing
cloud cover in the afternoon hours.

Temperatures have climbed to above normal levels quite quickly,
which is part of the reason that the region is under a heat advisory.
Dew points have been uncomfortable, holding in the low 70’s, really
adding a muggy feel to the air.

The wind has been steady for much of the day today, with an average
of about 9 mph and mostly from the WNW. The peak gust for the day
so far occurred just after 1pm with a speed of about 20 mph.

Visibility has been limited to about 30 miles all day due to the
hazy conditions.

The maximum temperature so far today is 90F, which is 8 degrees
above the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 71F, which is 7 degrees above the normal low of 64F.
