RAINY WITH VERY LOW VISIBILITY IN THE
AFTERNOON HOURS….
We observed an overcast this morning with limited visibility
in the morning hours due to fog. Visibility quickly dropped
to a 1/16th mile and a light rain began quickly following
the 10 A.M. observation. Since then, we measured a 1/10th
inch of precipitation with hopefully more on the way. We
are normal for rainfall on the month, but at a 3.25 inch
deficit from the annual normal rain total. This leaves us
with an “abnormally dry” rating on the drought monitor,
with some areas in northern MA being in a moderate drought
situation.
Wind wasn’t really a feature today, being light and variable
from the northeast on average.
The high so far today is 52F, this is 9 degrees below the
normal high of 61F. The low since midnight is 45F, which
is 2 degrees above the daily normal low of 43F.
