SUNSHINE TO START THE DAY, THEN BUILDING CONVECTIVE CLOUDS WITH
RAIN SHOWERS IN THE AREA…

We started the day with mostly sunny skies, but as daytime heating
got underway, convective clouds quickly began to build. These
clouds have culminated into cumulonimbus clouds producing rain
showers in the area, but so far they have missed the hill. A hail
shaft was observed at the 1pm observation off the NNE, just beyond
downtown Boston.

The temperature reached the upper 50s early this afternoon before
slipping back a bit, first due to clouds, and then further due to
the development of a sea-breeze.

The wind has been generally light all day, mainly out of a
westerly direction up until mid afternoon, then shifted to a sea-
breeze. The average speed for the day is only around 7mph.

Visibility has been limited today with the view of only 20-35
miles being seen, thanks to somewhat high moisture content in
the air.

The high temperature so far today is 59F, which is 2 degrees
below the normal low of 61F. The low since midnight is 42F, this
is equal to the normal low of 42F.
