WALL TO WALL SUNSHINE WITH RECORD WARMTH HERE AT BLUE HILL…

The dry stretch of weather continues as we’ve not recorded any
rainfall in the last 7 days. The precipitation departure has
now slipping into a pretty sizable deficit for the month to
date, with us being more a 1.60″ below normal.

The temperature has made it to the mid 80s as of early this
afternoon. The high so far is 86F degrees, which has set a
new record for the date, beating the old record of 85F set
in 1945.

Yesterday I erroneously reported the record high minimum for
yesterday’s date was 50F set in 1955 and 2017, in actuality,
the record high minimum was 52F set in 1945 and 1947. With
the low for yesterday of 56F, we still did set a new record
for the date!

The wind has been much lighter than yesterday, but still
pretty steady out of the west. The average speed for the
day so far is around 12mph, with a peak gust of 23mph so
far.

Visibility has been limited today due to haziness, likely in
part due to the increase in tree pollen in the air. We’ve
only been able to see about 40-45 miles today.

The high so far today is 86F, which is 31F degrees above the
normal maximum of 55F. The low since midnight is 52F degrees,
which is 15 degrees above the normal minimum for the day of
37F.
