ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0511E
SUNSET: 1821E
MAINLY SUNNY AND PLEASANT DESPITE TEMPERATURES STILL BELOW NORMAL….
Sunshine has been the theme so far today, however mid and high
level clouds are starting to increase in both coverage and thickness
as we move through the early afternoon hours. I hope everyone is
enjoying today, because more poor weather is on the way starting
tonight, and likely through the weekend (yet again!).
Temperatures are still below seasonal averages, but with the sun
and lighter wind today, it’s still rather pleasant out there.
Readings once again started the day in the 20s, but has risen
nicely into the upper 40s (we should be in the mid 50s at this
time of year). Dew point values remain on the lower side, but
have risen a bit from yesterday’s low readings. Today they’ve
been gradually rising through the 20s.
Winds are much more tolerable today. They have gradually veered
from the west around midnight to variable easterly directions by
late this morning and early this afternoon. The average speed for
the day so far is around 7mph. The peak gust thus far is 18mph,
which occurred right around 11:40am, and again just after noon.
Visibility is excellent today with the view starting at around
70 miles, then slipping a bit early this afternoon to around 60
miles.
The maximum temperature for today is 49F degrees, which is 5 degrees
below the normal high of 54F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 29F degrees, which is 7 degrees below the normal low of 36F.
