SPECTACULAR MID-SEPTEMBER WEATHER TODAY IN THE WAKE OF LEE….
Extra-tropical storm Lee passed a couple of hundred miles to the east
of the region yesterday. It brought some gusty winds and generally
light rainfall amounts to Blue Hill. The peak wind gust for the
event was 44mph WNW occurring at 1:13 P.M. yesterday afternoon. Total
rainfall for the event was only 0.21″.
Conditions today are much improved over yesterday with mainly sunny
skies, comfortable humidity levels, and mild temperatures. The
temperature has reached the mid 70s early this afternoon, with the
dew point generally in the 50s. All in all it’s a beautiful day for
outdoor activities.
The wind has been gradually decreasing as the day progresses. The
average speed for the day so far is around 12mph.
Visibility has been decent today with views holding at 60 miles all
day.
The maximum temperature so far today has been 75F, which is
3 degrees above to the normal high of 72F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 53F, which is 2 degrees below the normal low
of 55F.
