PARTLY CLOUDY AND COOL WITH GOOD VISIBILITY….

Today was cool with a light wind under 10 mph shifting from north to south
as the day went on. We observed partly cloudy skies with a good visibility
of 70 miles at each observation. Dew points stayed in the mid 40’s as
temperatures made their way into the mid 60’s, making for pleasurable
hiking weather.

Despite the trace of rain that fell yesterday, weather has been on the
drier side lately. According to the drought monitor, most of Massachusetts
is abnormally dry with a moderate drought being seen between the north shore
and New Hampshire.

The maximum temperature so far today is 65F, which is the same as
the normal high. The minimum temperature since midnight is 47F,
which is a degree below the normal low of 48F.
