NORTHWESTERLY WIND….
Today we observed an excellent visibility of 80 miles on
average under partly cloudy skies. Conditions are dry,
with dew points in the upper 30’s, and a humidity of 31%
by the 1 P.M. observation. Wind was northwesterly, being
calm in the afternoon hours. The max gust so far today is
only 13 mph.
The drought monitor was updated on Thursday revealing yet
another escalation. 55% of MA now in a “severe drought”
and 29% considered in an “extreme drought” (approximately
Boston to Providence and points south and east).
