OVERCAST AND COOL WITH A GUSTY ONSHORE WIND….
Clouds have been the theme today as we’re stuck between
high pressure to the north and low pressure to the south.
The gradient between these two features has been the reason
for all the wind today.
The average wind speed so far today has been around 19mph. A
peak gust of 53mph was measured early this morning, however
frequent gusts of 30-40mph have been observed all day.
Temperatures have been holding in the low 50s most of the day
after a high in the wee hours of the morning in the mid 50s.
The dew point has also been slipping as the day progresses,
from the mid 40s early this morning to the mid/upper 30s this
afternoon.
Visibility has increased through the day from 30 miles early
this morning to 70 miles this afternoon.
The high so far today is 55F, which is 11 degrees below the
normal maximum of 66F. The low since midnight is 50F, which is
1 degree above the normal minimum of 49F.
