DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2013
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

HIGH PRESSURE STILL PRESENT
ONSHORE WIND CREATING CLOUDS
MILD OCTOBER CONTINUES

This morning we had bright sunshine that faded away quickly. A thick layer
of low level cloudiness have formed. This is due to a ENE wind coming off the
water. This wind direction has been very persistent for the last 24-36 hours.
It has kept us in the clouds and created very light precipitation yesterday.
We recorded 0.02 inches of rain this morning. However even with all
the clouds a strong high pressure system has been dominating our weather. The
ASOS MSLP for October is 30.14 ins.Hg, and as a result has prevented any
significant rainfall. The average precipitation departure is -0.86 inches
for the month of October.

Along with the dry conditions we have seen a warm October. Our temperature has
been averaging 5.1 degrees above normal and we have yet to record a below
average day. This morning continues that pattern. Our over night low
was 47 (3 degrees above the average). The clouds are preventing any
rapid temperature rises, but we could reach 60 or even higher if we get
any breaks. Which would make our day finish either normal or slightly above.
