CLEAR SKIES EARLY THIS MORNING QUICKLY REPLACED BY AN OVERCAST BY
MID MORNING….
Skies were clear early this morning, giving us a very nice view
of the sunrise. However, mid level clouds quickly advanced into
the area from the west leaving us with overcast skies by the mid
morning hours as a clipper system and associated warm front push
through the region.
Temperatures started the day on the cold side with the morning low
in the upper 20s. Readings have been slowly recovering reaching the
upper 30s by early this afternoon. Dew point values have been
holding generally in the mid 20s, adding a decided chill to the
air.
The wind has been fairly steady, but on the lighter side today
with an average speed for the day so far of around 8mph. The
peak gust for the day so far is 18mph, which occurred just after
6am this morning.
Visibility is quite decent today, generally holding in the 60-70
mile range so far for the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 39F degrees, which is
9 degrees below the normal high of 48F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 28F degrees, which is 4 degrees below the
normal low of 32F.
