WARM BUT MUCH LESS HUMID TODAY UNDER SUNNY SKIES….
Rain showers pushed through mid-late afternoon yesterday, but
all we could muster rainfall-wise was 0.05″. For the month
our total is up to 1.06″. This is 2.35″ below normal to date.
For the year to date we’re running a deficit of 4.85″.
According to the latest drought monitor report, much of
eastern Massachusetts is under moderate drought.
Today has featured abundant sunshine with only a few clouds
here and there decorating the sky. Temperatures have
responded nicely with readings getting into the mid-upper
70s away from the shore.
The wind is quite light today, as such a sea-breeze has
developed, however it’s so weak here at Blue Hill, it’s not
really having much impact on holding the temperature down.
Visibility has been excellent today pushing 70 miles most of
the day.
The high so far today is 76F, which is 6 degrees above the
normal maximum of 70F. The low since midnight is 53F, which
is 1 degree above the normal minimum of 52F.
