MORE CLOUDS THAN SUN, BUT STILL A RATHER PLEASANT MOTHER’S DAY….

Despite the birth of cloud cover, there has been enough
filtered sunshine to make for a pleasant day. The lack of wind
is helping it feel nice despite temperatures still running a
few degrees below normal.

As mentioned, the temperature is still running on the cool side
with readings so far approaching the 60F degree mark. The dew
point has dropped into the mid 30s, so the air mass is rather
dry once again today.

The wind has been quite light today, and has become variable as
we moved into the afternoon hours. The average speed so far for
the day is only around 5mph. The highest wind speed (hard to call
it a gust) so far for the day is a rather pitiful 13mph!

Visibility has improved a great deal between early this morning
and early this afternoon. The view increased from around 30-35
miles to an excellent 80 miles.

The maximum temperature so far today is 60F degrees, which is
6 degrees below the normal high of 66F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 41F degrees, which is 6 degrees below the
normal low of 47F.
