PLENTY OF SUNSHINE WITH SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES AND LESS WIND….

Just a note, here at BHO we do not use DST, thus all times within
our discussions will continue to be in EST. We do this for continuity
purposes, as well as to keep our record keeping/reporting simplified.

Yesterday was another windy day with the peak gust exceeding 50mph for
the 4th day in a row. As a matter of fact, we’ve only have 1 day so far
this month (not including today) that has had a peak gust under 40mph!
So far, March is living up to its reputation of being the windiest
month of the year.

For today, we saw plenty of sunshine through the morning, but mid and
upper level clouds are increasing in coverage as we move through the
early afternoon hours. Regardless, it’s a fairly nice day out there
despite the persistent breeziness.

Temperatures are fairly seasonable with a low in the mid 20s this
morning and a high so far in the low to mid 40s. However, with the
dew point holding in the teens, it is making the air feel a bit
chillier, especially with the breeze blowing.

While winds aren’t as strong as the past 4 days, it’s still on the
breezy side out there. A general westerly wind has been averaging
around 13mph for the day so far. As the temperature rises and the
atmosphere mixes from aloft, gusts have been exceeding 30mph at times
from mid morning into early this afternoon. The peak gust so far for
the day is 35mph, which occurred at 12:13pm.

Visibility is quite decent today with the view generally 70-80 miles.

The maximum temperature for today is 43F degrees, which is 1 degree
above the normal high of 42F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 25F degrees, which is equal to the normal low of 25F.
