A WARMER DAY WITH LIMITED VISIBILITY AND LIGHT WIND….
We observed partly cloudy conditions with 35 miles of visibility at best
due to pollen and haze. Wind was light and variable with a slight
westerly component for most of the day, but increased to around 15 mph
a half hour before the 1 o’clock observation. With the increase in
wind, we encountered an increase in cloud cover.
We’re getting a lot of rain for the growing season, with a rainfall
surplus of 8 inches and a yearly total of 31 inches!
The maximum temperature so far today is 84F degrees, which is
13 degrees above the normal high of 71F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 52F degrees, which is a degree below the normal low
of 53F.
