MOSTLY CLOUDY MORNING LEADS TO A DRY PARTLY CLOUDY AFTERNOON….

Today has been a beautiful day for outdoor activities, as the
dew points have been relatively low and it’s been dry. This
morning we had overcast conditions but by mid morning the sunshine
had come out and we were under partly cloudy skies for much of
the remaining day.

Temperatures are still trending below normal, but thanks to the
sunshine and dry air it is starting to feel a bit warmer. Dew
points have remained in the lower 50’s which has given the area
some comfortable air to enjoy.

Winds have been on the light side today and out of the east-
northeast. The average speed so far today is around 7mph. The
peak gust so far is 17mph, which occurred just before 11:00am
this morning.

Visibility has been in the 30-40 mile range for much of the day.
The smoke aloft that was sitting over the region is starting to
slowly move offshore, giving us a view of Mt. Wachusett for the
first time since last Wednesday.

The maximum temperature for today is 66F degrees, which is 9
degrees below the normal high of 75F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 53F degrees, which is 5 degrees below the
normal low of 58F.
