BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

SUNDAY, JUNE 11, 2023
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0407E
SUNSET:  1921E

MAINLY SUNNY AND WARM WITH INCREASING HIGH THIN CLOUDS AND SOME
DEVELOPING CUMULUS….

Hazy sunshine has been the theme today with an increasing amount
of cirrus clouds as we work into the afternoon hours. Some cumulus
have also popped up thanks to the strong surface heating today.

Temperatures have risen quite easily into the upper 70s to low
80s across the area this afternoon. The dew point has been holding
in the mid 50s, so there is a touch of a humid feel in the air,
but it’s nothing too tough to take for this time of year.

The wind has been light and variable so far today. The average
speed has only been around 7mph with a peak gust of only 10-15mph
since 7am this morning.

Visibility has been limited today due to increasing haziness. We
started the day being able to see around 40 miles, but decreased
to around 25-30 miles by early this afternoon.

The high temperature so far today is 79F, this is 5 degrees above
the normal maximum of 74F. The low since midnight is 55F, this is
1 degree below the normal minimum of 56F.
