CLOUDS ARE DOMINATING TODAY WITH SOME RAIN SHOWERS MOVING THROUGH….
Clouds have been the theme to this point through the day with
occasional rain showers moving through starting at around 8am
this morning. Most of the showers have been on the light side
with only 0.08″ falling through 1pm.
Temperatures being held down by the clouds and rain with values
generally hanging in the mid to upper 60s. We did briefly reach
the low 70s before the rain started this morning. Of course with
the rain, the dew point has been on the rise as well from the
low 60s early this morning to the mid 60s by early this afternoon.
The wind has been mainly on the steady side out of the southwest
to south-southwest. The average speed for the day so far is
around 12mph. The peak gust so far is 29mph, which occurred
around noon-time.
Visibility has been limited today, first by the wildfire smoke
early this morning, then by the rain and fog thereafter. The
view was around 25 miles early this morning, but has been varying
between 5-15 miles since the rain started.
The maximum temperature so far today is 71F degrees, which is
11 degrees below the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 63F degrees, which is 1 degree below the
normal low of 64F.
