THUNDERSTORMS AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS BEGIN BY MID
MORNING TODAY

Mostly clear skies overnight gave way to overcast
conditions by early morning today ahead of an approaching
warm front. A line of heavy rain and thunderstorms moved
past the station beginning with a thunderstorm at 10:12 EST
and heavy rain at 10:23 AM EST. Winds gusted from the SW to
nearly 30 MPH during this time, with 0.57 inches of rain
collected in our gauge by the 1:00 PM EST observation.

More storms are firing on the radar across New England
with a significant chance of severe thunderstorms in our
area later on today.
