DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SUNDAY, JULY 13, 2014
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
SEASONABLY WARM TODAY WITH A STRONGER BREEZE
We’ve made it into the 80s again today, and by our 2:00 PM EDT observation
the high temperature so far was 82F, after a morning low of 64F. The air
has been comfortable once again, as while there has been a little bit more
humidity today, the steady S-SSW breeze has offset that. This breeze has
been blowing at about 15-20 mph for most of the day, with gusts close to
30mph. It’s been another mostly sunny day, with some high, low, and mid
level clouds all observed at various times today. Visibility has been
lower today than it was yesterday, with haze limiting it to around 35-40
miles. The barometer has been steadily falling today, signaling the
approach of our next weather system which should provide some showers and
storms early this week. We have not seen measurable precipitation since
July 5th, with just a trace recorded on the 7th.
