OVERCAST WITH LIMITED VISIBILITY AND WINTRY, MIXED PRECIPITATION….

Today we observed overcast conditions with light rain beginning
shortly after 9 AM and switching over to ice pellets before the
10 AM observation. Since then, we have had a mix of ice pellets
and light snow. The precipitation total on the day is 0.17 inches
so far, with 0.2 inches of snow and ice pellets stacking up on
our snow measurement board.

Visibility was 20 miles at best today, falling off to a 1/2 mile
as the day went on. Temperatures have been in the low 30’s, and
dew points are within a degree or two.

This season, we are lacking in snowfall with our total being
19.0 inches, a foot below the normal at this point. We are more
than satisfied for annual rainfall. The total just this month is
8.35 inches, 4.40 inches above normal. We are almost 4 degrees
above monthly averages for temperature!

The maximum temperature so far today is 34F degrees, this is
the same as the normal high. The minimum temperature
so far since midnight is 32F degrees, this is 15 degrees above
the normal low of 17F.
