CLIPPER SYSTEM AND STRONG COLD FRONT TEAM UP BRINGING BRIEF
SNOW AND VERY STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS REACHING 60 MPH.
It was a sunny and clear start to the day this Sunday, after a
day of overcast skies, light snow and strong southerly winds with
temperatures topping out above the freezing mark for the first
time in several days.
A strong cold front approached from the west yesterday, sparking
some snow showers late yesterday. The total was barely significant
at 0.2 inches with a liquid content of 0.01 inches.
From 1200E until 1500E Saturday, winds averaged 33 mph, with
22.5 mph for a daily average, mainly from the SSW.
Five inches of snow remain on the ground early this morning.
