INCREASINGLY CLOUDY WITH A FRONT MOVING IN FROM THE WEST ….

Today featured mostly clear skies during the morning hours with
strong winds out of the west. The average wind speed is around
30 mph, with a max gust of almost 50 mph right before noontime.
Starting around noon, a thick layer of stratocumulus clouds moved
in from the west and covered most of the sky from the 1 P.M.
observation. Distant snow showers were also seen to the west.

Visibility was slightly limited today, being 50 miles due to the
moisture from the approaching front. A brief snow shower was
observed this afternoon around 1:30 P.M. leaving only trace amounts.

The maximum temperature so far today is 39F degrees, this is 5
degrees above the normal high of 34F. The minimum temperature
so far since midnight is 29F degrees, this is 11 degrees above
the normal low of 18F.
