DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SUNDAY, JANUARY 1, 2017
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

2017 BEGAN WITH RAIN FOR THE MORNING
CONDITIONS HAVE CLEARED WITH MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES

Happy New Year to all readers of the discussion from the Observers
and staff of the Blue Hill Observatory.
We welcome you to another year of observations and look forward to
providing another year of climate summaries from Great Blue Hill.

Sky conditions changed quickly at the Observatory this morning, as
mostly cloudy skies quickly cleared right before the 7 AM observation.
The humidity began to drop throughout the morning as drier conditions
prevailed.  High clouds have drifted in from the west but additional
precipitation is not expected. Very windy conditions yesterday have given
way to far calmer winds today.
