OVERCAST AND COLD WITH A BIT OF LIGHT SNOW…
Clouds have been the theme today following the period of light snow
late yesterday afternoon and evening. That period of snow deposited
0.5″ of light fluffy snow on the summit. Another period of light snow
occurred this morning bringing only a trace.
Other than the clouds and snow, it remains on the cold side with
temperatures rising from the teens into the lower 30s by mid
afternoon.
The wind started the day very much on the light side, even going calm
for a time. But the wind has since picked up a bit from the south-
southwest with gusts reaching around 20mph.
Visibility has been limited today thanks to thin fog and/or periods
of light snow. Values have generally been 15 miles or less.
The high so far today is 32F, which is 7 degrees below the normal
maximum of 39F. The low since midnight is 16F degrees, which is 6
degrees below the normal minimum of 22F.
