ALTO/CIRROSTRATUS ENCROACHES FROM THE WEST AS HIGHS FLIRT WITH
THE 50 DEGREE MARK FOR A SECOND DAY IN A ROW.
Saturday’s abundant sunshine, warmth and excellent visibilities
were a welcome reprieve ahead of another stretch of cold weather.
Yesterday’s official maximum temperature of 50.3 degrees occurred
with nearly cloudless skies and breezy winds from primarily the SW.
The mercury sank to 36.4F for an overnight low and by 7:00 AM
this morning the temperature had only risen 37.4F under
increasingly cloudy skies with cirrus and cirrostratus
approaching from the south and west.
At 1:00 PM a maximum of 50.2F had been reached with thickening
and lowering altostratus and visibilities of 70 miles.
