Today we observed a pretty good visibility, being around 65 miles
on average. Wind was light from the northwest, and the sky stayed
completely overcast throughout the day. Both Houghton’s Pond and
Ponkapoag Lake are completely covered with ice since temperatures
have been mostly below freezing the past week. Snow depth is still
14 inches, with most of the depth being from the last storm.
The high so far today is 33F, 4 degrees below the daily
average max of 37F. The low since midnight is 24F, 5 degrees
above the normal minimum of 19F.
