BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2017
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

EARLY MORNING SNOW AS STORM MOVED IN

0.2 inches of snow fell at Blue Hill this morning before the 7 AM observation,
with snow on and off throughout the morning.  Fog obscured the view for
much of the day only lifting for a short period of time where visibility
reached about 10 miles, but fog had returned by the 10 AM observation.
The temperature has steadily increased during the day as the winds shifted
from north to east. The pressure is falling rapidly as a storm approaches that
will bring the observatory more snow.  The 0.3 that fell during the day has
brought the storm total to 0.5 inches of snow so far today.
