RAW, WET SATURDAY GIVES WAY TO COLDER, DRIER SUNDAY
Rain that fell on and off throughout all of Saturday
continued into the early morning hours of Sunday
until finally coming to an end before 3:00 AM EST.
Precipitation, falling completely as rain totaled
1.26 inches falling from late Friday night through
early this morning.
Temperatures that lingered in the mid to upper 30s
yesterday afternoon and overnight, dropped below
freezing just before the 7:00 AM EST observation
and have continued to sit at the 31F mark for several
hours under mostly cloudy skies and a cold northerly
wind.
By the 1:00 PM EST observation temperatures had only
budged 1 degree over the previous 6 hours to just under
32F. Much drier conditions were found with dew points
dipping down into the upper teens and visibility
increasing to over 80 miles to the west.
