OVERCAST, BREEZY, AND RAW WITH RAIN AND FOG ON BLUE HILL…

Skies are once again cloudy today as a storm system moves into the
region. Rain began just before 7am this morning and has been falling
steadily since that time. 0.23″ has been measured so far through the
1pm observation.

Temperatures have subsequently been held in the low 40s all day with
an onshore wind. This is making for a rather raw feel out there,
definitely not a good day to be outdoors, but it is a great day for some
hot soup or chili!

The wind has been out of the east averaging between 10-15mph for the
most part. Gusts of 20-25mph have been common with a peak gust thus
far of 29mph occurring just before 11:30am. The average speed for
the day so far is around 11mph.

Visibility has of course been limited due to rain and fog. It did
start the day at around 15 miles, but has slipped to between 1-3
miles early this afternoon.

The maximum temperature so far today is 44F degrees, occuring at
midnight, this is equal to the normal high of 44F. The minimum
temperature since midnight is 41F degrees, which is 12 degrees above
the normal low of 29F.
