MORE ICING OBSERVED OVERNIGHT, CLOUDY BUT A BIT DRIER TODAY….
Light rain and drizzle last evening became freezing drizzle/rain
as the temperature snuck just below freezing. Several hours of
light freezing rain occurred before ending as a period of light
snow around 5am. 0.10″ of ice accretion was measured this
morning, but only a trace of snow.
Somewhat drier air has moved into the area, at the very least
we’re no longer in the fog. Visibility has slowly improved to
around 50 miles, but the sky remains on the cloudy side.
The wind has gotten busier as the day has progressed gusting over
30 mph at times early this afternoon. The average speed for the
day has bumped up to around 10mph.
The high so far today is 37F, which is 1 degree below the normal
max of 38F. The low since midnight is 31F, which is 9 degrees above
the normal low of 22F.
