UNSEASONABLY WARM AND WINDY DAY WITH MOSTLY CLOUDY CONDITIONS….
We observed a dense fog this morning with improving weather conditions
as the day went on. We started the day socked in with fog, with a
visibility of a 1/16th mile. Visibility improved to 20 miles before the
approach of rain from the south.
Temperatures have been on the rise, beginning the morning in the
mid 40s and rising to 60F by the afternoon. This is well
above average for this time of year, the difference being 18 degrees
higher than the normal max temperature of 42F.
It has been a bit breezy this morning, and our average wind speed is
almost 20 mph this afternoon. The peak gust so far is 27mph, occurring
at 12:50 PM. The prevailing wind direction is out of the south.
