STORM AT SEA BRINGS ONSHORE WIND, CLOUDS, AND DRIZZLE
The outer fringes of an ocean storm have been affecting the region today.
While the bulk of this storm’s rainfall remained well offshore, it has
created an onshore flow that has brought clouds and some drizzle to areas
near the coast. Here at Blue Hill, a trace of rainfall was recorded this
morning, and temperatures were held in the low-mid 60s for several hours.
By afternoon, however, the clouds began to slowly break up, and a little bit of
sunshine has been observed. Temperatures have remained on the cool side, with
a high of only 72F through 2PM EDT. This will likely be the fourth straight
day of below normal temperatures, after a warm start to the month. Our yearly
precipitation deficit is now close to 4.50 inches.
